I started out like everyone else, working an 8-5 job for a company. I was in the technical field doing IT and project management. I liked my company, I got paid pretty well, around $55,000 a year. I had not finished college or had any training, everything I knew came from on the job knowledge. I worked at this job for about 3 years before quitting my day job to start my own company.

It all started one day when I got an instant message from a friend of mine. He asked me if I could go a link he gave me and and complete the survey. I wasn't quite sure what it was, but it turned out he was getting paid for every completed survey that was done on his affiliate link. This was a new concept to me and amazed me. He showed me a website he built where people could signup, do surveys and other email submit type offers and get paid a fraction of what he received for each completion.

I was amazed at this business model. I first started doing the offers as a member of his website and websites like his. Then after receiving very little money for my time, I decided to start a website like that. This opened my eyes to the world of internet marketing. I signed up for affiliate networks. Learned how affiliate offers work and became one of the more popular "get paid to" websites. It was fun to run, but a lot of work. I think on my best months I made about $5,000 after paying out to all of my members.

I ran fun competitions, had rewards and a lot of people did offers on the website. Things eventually died down and I was able to sell the site for $15,000 and get out of it. From there I started looking into the world of non-incentivized affiliate marketing. I never thought it could work, but people were clearing $10,000-$100,000 a month in profit so I knew there had to be a way.

I started asking my affiliate managers for the most popular offers and then trying to find out how people were promoting them. Eventually I had an affiliate manager that leaked the top guys website, for one of the offers that was popular. They were not supposed to do this, but I took a look anyway.

I saw how the offer was being promoted and quickly created a site sort of like this guys. It was a simple 4 or 5 field short form signup and it paid about $7.50. Within a week or two I was doing about $650 a day in gross revenue. I was netting anywhere from $150-$300 a day which was a huge jump from $0 a day. This was how I eventually found how to promote a few of the most popular offers and I ended up making over $100,000 that year. The next year I made over $400,000.

The trick is to find how people are promoting an offer and then put your own spin on it and make it even better. Use Google AdWords, Facebook, or Traffic Vance for PPV. There are a ton of different traffic sources out there and you can make it work for yourself too, just try hard and it will happen. There are 1,000 easy opportunities out there at any time, just don't give up and you will make a living and be able to quit your day job like me.
